The Blue Screen of Death (BSOD), also known as a stop error, is the fatal system error screen that Microsoft Windows displays when it encounters an abnormal fault. 5. Scan for malware. Blue Screen of Death can also be caused by malware. Scan your computer with the help of the Microsoft Defender or another resource which you can trust.

6. Restore system files. If a problem is connected to files corruption, you can use the sfc /scannow command to fix it.

7. Check your hardware. If one of these methods does not help – try to check the hardware. For example, scan RAM with MemTest86 and hard disks.

8. Roll back software. If any error has been detected following the work of specific software, uninstall or update it.

Avoid Outdated Software: Make sure your operating system and all programs are updated so that you can be assured of their compatibility, as well as improved security.

Create System Snapshots: Have your data backed-up always to avoid any further loss situation in the event of system failure.
